
Ali irani
Ali Irani is completing his PhD at MIT in the Building Technology program, focusing on integrating HVAC systems into architectural education and practice, working under the supervision of Prof. Christoph Reinhart. Previously, he worked at SOM in Chicago for 4 years as a sustainability engineer with extensive building performance simulation experience. Ali studied architecture and civil engineering during his undergraduate and Master’s studies at MIT and currently teaches sustainability and structural design at the Boston Architectural College. His research interests focus on HVAC systems, energy modeling, advanced daylighting analysis, parametric design and optimization, and urban scale analysis.
